First you must ask yourself what is SEO before you decide whether you need it or not.
SEO is short for search engine optimization. SEO is a process for getting your site a higher ranking on search engines, like popular sites Google, Bing and Yahoo. By researching keywords that are most searched online and building links and creating content you can gain visits to your website.

So why is SEO important? Everyday your site sits ideal online is a day that you should be gaining visits and new customers or fans. When you gain them you also gain sales on your products the more fans equals more cash.

The fact is simple is when you take the time and/or money to invest into SEO for your website you will see big gains in your profits and/or fan base depending on what your business is. SEO is not something that is simple or easy to do. You will have to do your research if you are trying to do this on your own.
